La Biodiversity Monitoring Week (BioMonWeek) est le congrès européen rassemblant tous les experts de la surveillance de la biodiversité pour des discussions sur la coopération transnationale et la coordination entre échelles. Il sera précédée par une conférence ouverte au grand public le lundi soir 04 mai.
Co-organisée par Biodiversa+, Alliance for Nature, BioAgora, GBIF et MARCO-BOLO, cette édition inaugure un cycle bisannuel de congrès transformateurs pour la communauté de la surveillance. Cet événement réunira les communautés scientifiques, de politiques publiques et du secteur privé pour échanger des connaissances, construire des réseaux et mener un changement sociétal durable pour aider à stopper la crise mondiale de biodiversité. La formation de cette plateforme ouverte et dédiée à la communauté de la surveillance de la biodiversité vise à promouvoir une culture et une compréhension communes en Europe, et ainsi faire progresser la coopération transnationale et entre secteurs.
The Biodiversity Monitoring Week (BioMonWeek) is the European conference bringing monitoring experts together for discussions on transnational cooperation and coordination across scales. It will be open by a conference for the general public on Monday night 04 May.
Co-organised by Biodiversa+, Alliance for Nature, BioAgora, GBIF and MARCO-BOLO, this inaugural edition marks the launch of a conference guided by a vision to deliver an impactful, biannual conference. The event will bring together science, policy, and business communities to exchange monitoring knowledge, build networks, and drive tangible societal impact to help reverse the global biodiversity crisis. By building a welcoming space for the biodiversity monitoring community, it will foster a common culture and understanding of biodiversity monitoring in Europe, and advance transnational and cross-sector cooperation.
